Billing: itemisation, SHA package and claims
Billing turns a completed session into a claim the payer will accept. The console builds the bill from the session, assembles the SHA package, and prepares the claim for submission, with readiness gates that stop an unfundable claim before it goes out.
Roles: biller (and front office in a small clinic).
The itemised bill
Section titled “The itemised bill”Open a completed session’s bill. It is priced from the item master and the session itself, so you are checking and confirming rather than typing. The bill is a money document: only billers and administrators can open it, and clinicians never see priced screens.
Nanto Ventures is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is shown or charged. The bill is the itemised cost of the session as delivered.
Readiness gates
Section titled “Readiness gates”Before a claim can proceed, the system checks it is fundable and complete: SHA cover confirmed, the session signed, the required evidence present, and the preauthorisation course not exceeded. A claim that fails a gate is held with the reason, so you fix the cause rather than submit something that will be rejected.
The SHA package
Section titled “The SHA package”The SHA package is the versioned, auditable bundle for manual submission: the generated PDF, the verified original uploads, and a checksum manifest. You can open it as an HTML view, download the complete claim pack as a single PDF, or take the versioned archive. The package is prepared and tracked here; it is uploaded to the SHA portal by hand. The system prepares and records; it does not submit on your behalf.
Claims and their status
Section titled “Claims and their status”The claims screen is where a claim lives after the session: its itemisation, provider preview, dispatch, and the payer’s status once it comes back. Recording an outcome or resubmitting is limited to billers and administrators. Opening a claim is logged, so the clinic can always answer who viewed a patient’s claim and when.
What billing does not do
Section titled “What billing does not do”Billing does not change the clinical record. Prices and claim state are the biller’s; observations, diagnosis and sign-off stay with nursing and clinical.
